Synopsis

The Providencecenter has a requirement for medical storage cabinets for a new Specilaty Clinic.

Innerspace Medical Storage units have been chosen based on the research and experience of the

clinical nurse managers. The unique storage needs of the speciaty clinic functions and the design

parameters of the rooms within the new specilaty addition. Rooms within the clinic addition require

unique storage solutions to support the clinics operating at any given time.Small exam rooms offered

only limited room and opportunities for placement of required equipment and furniture, and any remaining space was allotted for storage. Only Innerspace had the appropriately sized cabintery with the dimmensions to fit the limited space. Innerspace is also able to provide medical storage cabinets with glass doors and finishes that meet the requirements of the VA Infection Control requirements. The Innerspace quote

includes accessories, assembly and installation which other vendors did not.

Itis imperative that the requirement, which is the Inerspace products, be provided in a few weeks which is when the spaces will be waiting for the cabinets. The Innerspace design allows flexibilty

of placement of placement since blocking is not required in the walls. The storgae cabinets are supported on the floor rather than wall mounted. The Innerspace medical storage units meet the requirements of size,

visibility and access required by the clinical staff. The current cabinets in use by the clinical staff

at Providence VA Medical Center are not efficient, do not meet IRCA requirements and are not easliy maintained. Although other distributors may be able to supply the Innspace medical storage cabinets,

Claflin is the preferred vendor for Innerspace in the New England area and is the Medical Center's Prime vendor.
