THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR IMPLEMENT COMMUNITY LIVING CENTER CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION PROJECT. SOLICITATION WILL BE SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS. A SOLICITATION IS EXPECTED TO FOLLOW THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, Northport, NY is seeking Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Construction, NAICS 236220, for construction work as described in this Pre-solicitation Notice, for VA Medical Center Northport, NY 11768.

The solicitation announcement shall follow this pre-solicitation notice.

PROJECT NO. 632-08-123, IMPLEMENT COMMUNITY LIVING CENTER CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION. This Project will renovate the Community Living Centers (formerly Nursing Home Care Units) at Bldg. No. 92 at the Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work for renovation of the Community Living Centers as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, necessary removal of existing construction, and certain other items.

Offerors will search for solicitation on www.fbo.gov to access solicitation documents and any Amendments. Offerors are advised to check the web site frequently and before bid submission as they are responsible for obtaining amendments. This solicitation will be available in electronic format ONLY; distribution is limited to electronic medium and the VA will not provide hard copies. Copies of the solicitation may be downloaded at no charge at the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov.

By time of bid submission, offerors must: 1. Be listed and verified in the VetBiz Registry Vendor Information Page (http://www.vetbiz.gov/vip/vip.htm) 2. Be registered on the Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov) 3. Have completed Online Representations and Certifications at (https://orca.bpn.gov/).

This acquisition is solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Program, Public Law 109-461 as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction award is anticipated. NAICS Code: 236220. Small Business Size Standard: $ 33.5 Million. Project magnitude: Between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Ninety (90) day bid acceptance period will be required.
