Synopsis

The work consist of furnishing all plant, labor, and materials for placing riprap within the Castor River at Block Hole according to the specification and plans. The Channel Stabilization will be along the existing banks and construction will consist of clearing and grubbing, excavation, placement of filter material, filter fabric, R200 and R2200 riprap and turfing. The material excavated shall be placed into designed spoil pile areas set back from the top of bank. The project limits are adjacent to the Castor River as shown on the plans. The work shall be located in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. This project is advertised as a Service Disabled Veteran Set-Aside. The NAICS code assigned to this project is 237990. For the purpose of this procurement to qualify as a small business concern, in addition to being independently owned and operated and not dominate in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, the concern must have had average annual sales receipts for the preceding three fiscal years not exceeding $33.5 million. The estimated value of the work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation will issue on/about 20 July 2012 and bid opening date will be on/about 21 August 2012.
